“AMRIT MAHOTSAV” OF SWAMI KRISHNANANDAJI MAHARAJ

Beloved friends! I am happy to inform everyone of you that the Divine Life Society (Hq.) Sivananda Ashram has decided to observe the forthcoming 75th Birth Anniversary of H.H. Swami Krishnanandaji Maharaj who has been a dedicated disciple of worshipful Gurudev Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj. Revered Krishnanandaswamiji has been living a life of noble Guru Seva (service of the Guru) for over more than half a century of his life.

From the time Gurudev Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj decided to send me abroad in 1959, revered Krishnanandaswamiji Maharaj took up the functions of the General Secretary of the Society which onerous duty he has been carrying on with singular devotion and dedication and with admirable sagacity upto this time.

His devotees, disciples, students, followers and admirers are all over India and the world outside. They would be eager to share in the Divine Life Society’s programmes and plans honouring him upon his 75th Birth Anniversary, a truly landmark occasion in his noble life of renunciation (Nivritti) and Guru Seva. The Indian tradition calls it “Amrit Mahotsav” implying an ambrosial celebration of a nectarine festival. This is an invitation extended to one and all of his admirers as well as to all the visitors to “The Divine Life Society” web page and also all the members of the Divine Life Society to participate in this most auspicious project and gladly share and contribute towards it. The Swami Krishnananda Amrit Mahotsava Committee proposes publishing a special SOUVENIER on the occasion, printing a variety of Books, Booklets, Pamphlets, preparing Audio & Video Cassettes of Rev. Swamiji and other programmes for this event.
