Swami Krishnanandaji Attains the Lotus Feet of the Lord

His Holiness Sri Swami Krishnanandaji Maharaj of Sivananda Ashram,Rishikesh, who was one of the foremost disciples of Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj of Rishikesh, passed away and attained Samadhitoday, Friday, the 23rd of November, 2001 at 4:30pm at SivanandaAshram. He had served as the General Secretary of the Divine LifeSociety founded by Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj for more thanforty years. He was a well-known Sannyasi all over Uttarakhand asone of the greatest Tapaswins, a great Virakta and VairagiSannyasi. He was one of the greatest living philosophers of theworld after Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishna, and had a great masteryover both Indian and Western philosophy. His mortal body has beenkept for the last view of His innumerable devotees and will begiven Samadhi on Sunday, the 25th of November, 2001 in the forenoon.
