Update on Swami Chidanandaji's Health (May 25th, 2002)

\

Blessed Immortal Atman!
Radiant Divinities,

Om Namo Narayanaya!
Om Namo Bhagavate Sivanandaya!
Om Namo Bhagavate Chidanandaya!

With the blessings of the Lord Almighty and Worshipful Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj, and with the prayers of all devotees worldwide, Pujya Guru Maharaj Swami Chidanandaji is keeping well in Dehradun. Medically Swamiji Maharaj is okay. The heart condition is stable. But there is extreme weakness. Even talking for sometime makes Swamiji exhausted. There is severe pain in the body which makes movements very painful. Another problem is diet. As Swamiji Maharaj not taking any solid food it furthers to weakness. In spite of all these, Swamiji Maharaj sticks to the present routine of His. Comes out on the wheel chair and takes few rounds of the building and then sits and talks with all of us for some time. For last few days Swamiji Maharaj had been talking a lot about Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Sri Sri Anandamayi Ma. And of course, everyday there is one joke definitely. And which makes all of us to catch our belly and laugh and laugh and laugh. You can see the intensity of laughter in the pictures. One day while talking about quotes, witty one liners, Swamiji Maharaj told that Worshipful Gurudev used to say these one liners and witty riddles very often. The one that Swamiji Maharaj asked us was:

What is Greater that God, worse than evil
What is it that you cannot eat, if you eat you will die.

After Swamiji Maharaj has brought out his Samadhi instructions, there is a flood of emails and phone calls about people wanting to have darshan of Pujya Swamiji Maharaj. We are earnestly requesting all the devotees to continue their prayers for Pujya Swamijiís betterment of health instead of getting upset or tensed. It is HIS wish and we the disciples and devotees need to obey HIS instructions. Hence, please do not worry and keep praying. We will be giving updates through this website now and then. Please keep checking for new updates. About having an opportunity of having darshan of Swamiji Maharaj, it is not possible at Dehradun and in the present condition. Hence please continue praying for improvement of Swamiji Maharajís health.

Thanking all those from the bottom of our heart who are continuing to pray. Recently there was a Global 24 hours Japa conducted by many devotees. It is the prayers of the devotees that is giving energy to Pujya Swamiji Maharaj. So please continue to do so.

The answer to the riddle is "Nothing".
Nothing is Greater that God, Nothing is worse than evil.
You cannot eat Nothing, if you eat Nothing you will die.

Some Laughter: A case of murder was going on in the court. The murderer is being accused of the murder. And the argument is going on between the both sides lawyers. After the post-mortem the deceased personís brain removed from the skull is presented in the court as an exhibit to prove that the accused was the murderer. The Policeman was being questioned by the lawyer of the Murderer:

Lawyer to the policeman: Is there a chance of this man surviving.

Policeman: It is not possible there is all proof of that personís death.

Policeman: You can see his brain right in front of you in a bottle. How can he be living somewhere?

Lawyer: But still is there any chance of this man surviving and doing something?

Policeman: Getting annoyed the policeman says yes there is one possibility, he may be practising law somewhere and must be arguing around just like you ó without any brain.

Swamiji Maharaj remembered this joke and told us which was given to him few years back in Pattamadai by Mr. Don. Whatever we remembered have put in here. If I get the exact wordings we will share it next time.

Hari Om!
